About
Marisa Nikole was born in Toledo, Ohio, into a family with deep musical roots. Her father was the lead vocalist of an 80’s hair band, and his influence shaped her early musical upbringing. She developed a love for music and singing before turning one, and by the age of nine, she began writing poetry, which eventually evolved into songwriting.
In 2014, she relocated to Denver, CO, where she immersed herself in the local music scene, performing original sets. In 2017, she began competing in international songwriting showcases, further honing her craft. She was recognized as Denver's "Top Artist" and earned first place in the Colorado Music Business Organization's Songwriter category. Additionally, she secured first place in six international songwriting competitions and was ranked in the Top 20 for both "Best Pop Artists" and "Best Rock Artists" for 20 consecutive weeks. Her music video for her song "No Apologies" also garnered acclaim, receiving and winning 34 nominations and awards at 20 different international film festivals.
Marisa’s journey also led her to the reality singing competition 'The Voice' in 2019, where she advanced to the second round. In 2022, she competed in the music competition 'The Opening Act', securing third place.
Audacious yet introspective, her melodic style reflects her love of storytelling in the most honest and vulnerable way. The music she creates is deeply personal, often drawing inspiration from her own life experiences. Each song is like a page from her diary, reflecting the people, relationships, and challenges that have shaped her.
Marisa's upcoming new music is a continuation of her work to bring healing, strength, and confidence to the world through her music.
